Partners may opt to collaborate in the following areas:

  • Sharing learning resources: Every partner will be encouraged to share learning resources that can be accessed by anyone from anywhere having access to the internet. Partner Course Catalogue will be the single window to find and access these resources, including COL’s repositories.
  • Capacity building: Support ministries and institutions to build capacity in distance and online learning for policy development, strengthening systems and delivering courses. This will be done by providing online capacity building and mentoring support to ministries and institutions.
  • Free Training: Offer free short-term courses in the skilling and re-skilling of the workforce that may have been laid off and prepare them for new challenges. Avoiding duplication of effort and re-packaging existing courses and making them available, will be central to this effort. Joint webinars will be organised according to the needs of stakeholders.
  • Sharing infrastructure: There are many institutions, which need web infrastructure to make the transition to online learning. Partners, through mutual agreements, will provide the services and expertise to those who are in need of such facilities. Twinning arrangements between institutions can be catalysed. COL will offer its free platform MOOCs4Development that can work in low bandwidth situations.
